GetAFreelancer is a service that connects programmers with buyers that need custom project done for their business.
Much like an auction, programming projects are posted and interested programmers bid on them.
Joining is free and bid are limited to maximum 15 projects a month for new members. Old free members will be able to make 15 bids + 1 bid per month they have been a member at GetAFreelancer, otherwise new Gold members will be able to make 150 bids per month. Old Gold members will be able to make 150 bids + 1 bid per review they have (finished project) + 1 bid per month they have been a member at GetAFreelancer.
Minimum amount that one can earn per project is 30$ and maximum even 1500$ depending on the type of the project. Hourly rate starts from around $10/hour.
Escrow deposit in conjunction with arbitration service prevents cheating.
Commission is 10% of the project amount or $5 (whichever is higher). Gold Members ($12 monthly fees) don’t pay any commissions on any projects.
Payments options are Paypal, Moneybookers, E-Gold, wire transfer or GetaFreelancer debit card. Payments are delayed for the first withdrawal is delayed for 15 days since the day, when funds were added to account. Next withdrawals are sent out once per week.
